Redang Island is
located off the east coast of Malaysia. Redang is a great holiday destination
with beautiful white sandy beaches and great scuba diving and snorkeling
locations. There are 8 other islands close to Redang all with beautiful
beaches and coral reefs. The 9 island make up a marine park so no fishing
is allowed up to 3km from the islands. The beaches of Redang Island and the surrounding islands are nesting grounds for sea turtles. Off the coast of Redang are 2 World War II ship wrecks, HMS Repulse and the HMS Prince of Wales sunk by the Japanese navy, both excellent scuba dive sites.
