The Cameron Highlands is one of the most beautiful inland areas of Malaysia, located 241km north of Kuala Lumpur and 121km east of Ipoh. Throughout the Cameron Highlands are some amazing green rolling hills, lush tropical jungle and a number of romantic cottages and guesthouses to stay in.

The Cameron Highlands is a plateau located 1500m above sea level so enjoys a cooler climate, perfect for escaping the heat of Malaysia's coastal areas. The average day time temperature in the Cameron Highlands is 25 degrees Celsius.

There are many walking trails throughout the Cameron Highlands where you will find many species of wild orchards and some beautiful waterfalls.

Because of Cameron Highlands cooler climate it is perfect for growing tea and there are a number of massive tea plantations located throughout the highlands.

The Sam Poh Buddhist Temple is one of the largest Buddhist temples in Malaysia. The temple is located close to the town of Brinchang. Also in Brinchang is an impressive Hindu Temple.

The Cameron Highlands Golf Course is an 18 hole located between Tanah Rata and Brinchang . The golf course has it's own accommodation as well as a number of other resort close by including The Smokehouse Resort.

From Kuala Lumpur into the Cameron Highlands is around a 4 hour drive by car or around 5 hours by bus.
